I will start - My husband proposed on Valentine's day of 2004. It was in a penalty box of the Ice Palace in West Edmonton Mall :)
ReplyDeleteMy fiancé proposed to me 2 days before my birthday this last year (2010). He covered our apartment in lit candles and proposed to me in the middle of all of them. He even thought of putting our incredibly fuzzy kitten in the bedroom so that she wouldn't catch on fire :P. He was so nervous he kept repeating himself, saying I was the light in his life.
ReplyDeleteis this where we comment? norm and i got engaged 2010 (aug 1st)i collect rocks so he took mr down by the lake and we were chatting then funny i turned to him and said can you keep this rock for me??He then looked up and said only after you keep this rock for me??? we cried and giggled :) For the parents of 4 kids it was very romantic lol
ReplyDeleteMy Fiance Curtis and I (Rita) were having Breakfast at Datz in Tampa. I had picked out a ring the day before for him. It was sitting in this little white box in my purse and I kept trying to think of a time to pop the question. So I see the manager walking around asking everyone if they are enjoying their meal. The manager comes and goes and heads upstairs. Well I excuse myself to the bathroom (which also happens to be upstairs :D )I get the manager's attention and ask him if he has a P.A. System that I could make the announcement. He said, no... BUT! he would would go downstairs and get everyone's attention and ask them to be quiet for a moment. Well the manager heads down stairs and i take the ring out of my purse, but the white box is so big I can't come around the corner without him obviously knowing I have the ring in my hand. So I head down stairs trying to figure out how I am going to snatch the ring out of my purse without it being obvious. Curtis is asking me if I am okay because I think at this point it is obvious I am nervous. So the manager loudly gets everyone's attention, including Curtis' with him looking over I have enough time to grab the box out of my purse get on one knee and ask HIM in front of all those people if he would marry me. He got a very shocked look on his face and he said "yes, yes a million times yes" everyone clapped, we hugged, I shed a few tears and someone actually got a picture of us hugging in the restuarant. It was beautiful and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him.
